These terms govern your use of matokeo.co. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.

What Matokeo provides

Matokeo presents Tanzanian NECTA examination results and analysis derived from them. The site is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the National Examinations Council of Tanzania. Results certificates issued by NECTA remain the authoritative record; see our disclaimer for the limits of what we can guarantee about accuracy.

Acceptable use

You may browse, search and link to any page on this site, and quote from it with attribution. You may not:

scrape, harvest or bulk-download the results data, whether by automated tools or otherwise;
place load on the site that interferes with its availability for other people;
attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site, its servers or its databases;
republish substantial portions of the data as though it were your own; or
use the site or its data to harass, profile or target any individual candidate.

Personal information in results

Examination results published by NECTA are public records and are reproduced here on that basis. If you are a candidate and believe your information is being shown in error, contact us via the Contact Us page. Official corrections to results must be requested from NECTA directly. How we handle information about visitors is set out in our privacy policy.

Availability

The site is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. We do not promise that it will be available without interruption, that it will be free of errors, or that any particular year or school will remain published. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Matokeo accepts no liability for any loss arising from use of, or reliance on, this site - including decisions about school selection, admission or employment. Verify results with NECTA before relying on them for any official purpose.

Intellectual property

The underlying examination results are published by NECTA. The presentation, analysis, rankings and site design are the work of Matokeo. Quoting with a link back is welcome; wholesale reproduction is not.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
