Where does the data come from?
All results are sourced from official NECTA publications. Matokeo is not affiliated with NECTA. For the official results portal, visit necta.go.tz.
What years of results are available?
Coverage varies by exam type. Use the year selector on any school or subject page to see which years are available. The homepage displays the most recent year by default.
How do I find my school?
Use the search bar on the homepage and type your school name or registration number (CNO). You can also browse by region or use the schools list.
How does NECTA grading work for CSEE?
Each subject is graded A through F (with I for incomplete and X for absent). Students are then placed in divisions based on their best seven subjects:
- Division I — 7 to 17 points (highest)
- Division II — 18 to 21 points
- Division III — 22 to 25 points
- Division IV — 26 to 33 points
- Division 0 — 34 or more points (fail)
Lower points mean a better result. Grade A = 1 point, B = 2, C = 3, D = 4, F = 5.
How does grading work for ACSEE?
A-level subjects are graded A through E (pass) and S or F (fail). The grading is subject-specific and results are shown per principal and subsidiary subject.
Why does my school not appear?
Schools are identified by their NECTA short name or CNO. If your school changed name or recently registered, it may appear under a different entry. Try searching with the CNO number.
Can I download the results?
Matokeo does not currently offer bulk downloads. Results are available to browse on the site.
I found an error in the results. What should I do?
Contact us via the Contact Us page. Note that Matokeo displays results as published by NECTA — any discrepancies should also be reported to NECTA directly.
